1. Focus on strategies that can help you when listening to academic lectures
2. Highlight strategies that are useful before, while and after listening
3. Highlight strategies you can use with other types of listening texts
4. Look at a range of resources you can use to practiseyour listening skills

• How common were lectures in your previous studies? How important were they in delivering the content of your courses?
• What strategies can you use to prepare for a lecture?

什么是genres?

• genres writing text 主要指的是 文本用来传递信息的, 比如报纸, 教科书, 信件等
• spoken text 有 广播, lecture, speech,
• 每一个都是一个 particular genre

找到这些不同的genre有什么用处?

• 不区分口语还是听力阅读文本了, 主要是可以知道 目的, 受众, register 和结构

• 提供主题概述
• 强调/解释关键概念/参数/问题

我们的一些难点

• 不熟悉主题, 文化背景不知道
• 不知道演讲的组织结构
• 词汇和语法复杂, 学科明确的演讲
• 不熟悉的发音,语速
• 音量大小,干扰,分心

接下来每一步的内容

不熟悉内容我们就需要熟悉,如何熟悉呢?

1. 了解主题是什么? 了解演讲的genre
2. 初步了解背景
3. 核实核心内容的阅读列表
4. 复习ppt
5. 有一个详细的purpose
6. 预测text的结构

后面就拿详细的内容来说一个演讲组织结构是什么样的//这块ppt写的不好但是老师讲的好

general structure of a lecture

• 首先先warm up, 就是从一个和主题不是直接相关的事情切入到主题相关内容,比如天气比如温度等
• 第二步就是预测读者群, 自己范围, 表明的内容等
• 第三步就是举例子,把topic放到context里让读者好理解
• 最后, 总结

实际上就是个记笔记的方式

后面是更细节的记笔记方式

1. 别想着记录所有内容,不现实//我实际上只记录自己不会的,但是用电脑打字比较快能跟得上我基本都记,但是遇到我不太懂得地方我就不记录了.听完才补
2. 用缩写,自己特定的缩写即可 p2 page2 l5 line5
3. 下划线,大写,圈圈,高亮
4. 找关键词和观点间逻辑关系

注意听这些内容, //雅思有讲

就是当自己不知道展开内容的时候,这些内容可以帮助我们理解讲了什么, 实际上你在听老师讲课也可以用这种方法.

所有重复,解释,停顿,重读,的都是重点//非重点也没必要说啊..雅思从来不考非重点这点我深有体会,所以我是真的实力不够...不是雅思出题刁钻

• 把自己写的点,链接起来. 写一个小总结
• 批判性思考一下,笔记就是演讲者观点老师观点,但是自己思考的时候不一定要全盘接受
• 发展一下作者观点//说白了就是看点额外材料 看看这作者写的对不对,对的话夸两句不对diss一下
• study group一波.

听特定类型内容就需要特定技巧

• 公共演讲,广播等, 需要重复听, check 词汇和语法点.//因为他们是念稿子的!!!会用到复杂语法,但是直接说就不一定
• 读transcript(类似字幕)然后用一些方式来标记,比如高亮,下划线
• 第三点不好理解, 老师说的应该是一些演讲是为了出题, 就是一些练习听力的网站. 听完演讲然后做题

ppt上写的应对语速比较快的演讲方式

• 实际上我个人认为对各种演讲都ok

1. 保持中立
2. 关掉字幕,指的是这样可以加强听力
3. 这点不是联系听力实际,是连续发音...lecturer也说没办法快速解决..

a. As listening and reading are interactive tasks, taking notes can help you concentrate and make sense of the text.

b. Notes help you to maintain a permanent record of what you have read or listened to. This is useful when revising for examinations or for seminar discussions.
